Ocean Training in 3 Key Points

1. Explore the ocean’s essential functions

The Ocean Preservation Training offers a deep understanding of the Ocean’s fundamental role in the Earth system. Through the study of marine ecosystem services, participants discover how the Ocean regulates the climate, contributes to the carbon cycle, and sustains marine biodiversity. By analyzing human pressures—such as fishing practices, coastal urbanization, and industrial activities—they uncover how business operations interact with marine environments.

2. Identify actionable levers at the company level

Using interactive educational formats like collaborative fresks and the Solutions Game, the training provides concrete analysis of marine pollution, plastic waste, and coastal erosion. Participants gain awareness of the environmental impacts specific to their sector and identify mitigation or climate adaptation strategies. This process supports the development of ocean-friendly solutions that can be seamlessly integrated into the company’s CSR strategy.

3. Develop an ocean and climate action plan

At the end of the training, each group designs a dual-focus environmental action plan: reducing carbon footprint and protecting marine ecosystems. These individual and collective plans feed into the organization’s CSR policy by incorporating tangible actions linked to climate and coastal challenges. This deliverable forms a solid foundation for embedding sustainable development goals and increasing positive impact on coastal ecosystems.
